My daughter and I were very sad to hear that Paula had passed away. To Paula's family and friends, we offer our deepest condolences. My daughter joined Mass Elite last summer. Having met Paula just one year ago, Paula seemed omni-present – she was at lacrosse tournaments, worked at check-in tables, wrote up tournament scores on white boards, sent and responded to so many e-mails, etc. etc. She was always pleasant and she smiled a lot.
What a great contribution she made to women's lacrosse, and what a legacy she has left. It's hard to realize that she is gone.

Our Deepest Condolences,
Sarah and Hannah Murphy, Westwood, MA

Dear Evans',
I am so sorry that Paula has left all of you. She was such a wonderful person, and great leader. I speak for many people, both men and women lacrosse players, when I say that I don't know where I would be in life, had it not been for Mass Elite. Participating in Mass Elite was the lone reason I was able to attend college, and for that I will be forever greatful. Paula thank you for all that you did for me, and the rest of the Mass Elite family. You were a one of the cornerstones of growth in Massachusetts lacrosse. We are all in your debt...
Kind Regards,
Jake Previte

Bruce Herzfelder

Our best wishes go to Paula's family and friends at this time of sorrow.

When I first spoke with Paula about the time and travel commitment for Mass Elite, she laughed and said: "If your daughter plays, you will always remember this conversation". Later, when my wife had breast cancer, we referred to Paula as an role model for her attitude towards it. As a coach, Paula took Julia aside the very first day to show her how to hold her stick, and just this spring, Julia was thrilled when Paula let her take the draw in Core games - now Julia practices the draw constantly.

We appreciate Paula's impact and will always remember her spirit, starting with that first conversation.
