Paula D. Willis, 68, of Stuart passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 in Port St. Lucie with her family and under the care of Treasure Coast Hospice. Born December 10, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY she was one of five children born to Michael and Theresa Canonico. Paula moved to Hobe Sound in 2001 and then to Stuart in 2004. She was a cashier and had worked for TWA and Jet Blue. Paula was a volunteer for State of Florida Park System, she had been an avid boater while living in New York and has been a full time RVer for the past seven and one half years. Paula D. Willis, 68, of Stuart passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 in Port St. Lucie with her family and under the care of Treasure Coast Hospice.



Born December 10, 1945 in Brooklyn, NY she was one of five children born to Michael and Theresa Canonico. Paula moved to Hobe Sound in 2001 and then to Stuart in 2004.



She was a cashier and had worked for TWA and Jet Blue.



Paula was a volunteer for State of Florida Park System, she had been an avid boater while living in New York and has been a full time RVer for the past seven and one half years.



Survivors include her husband of 47 years, John R. Willis; daughters, Christine Laszlo of Queens, NY and Jennifer Jackson of Stuart; four grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica, Joseph and John; and brother, John Canonico.



Paula was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank; and sisters, Mary Lou and Ann.



Memorial Contributions in Paula’s name may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.



Visitation will be 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM, Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Young and Prill Chapel in Stuart. Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Friday, August 1, 2014 at Young and Prill Chapel. A Committal Service and Interment will be 1:15 PM, Friday, August 1, 2014 at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
