Pauline was married to James Angle for 44 years. They met at a General Motors Institute dance and were married the following year. They had three children: James Richard Angle ( married to Rita, with children Chelsea and Colin), Janet Marie Wieland ( married to Larry, with children Christopher and Emily) and Susan Angle Damone (son James.) She had one great grandchild, Oliver James born to Christopher and his wife Becca Wieland.

Pauline was born in Owosso in 1922 to George Skaff and Martha (Van deMark) Skaff. There were five siblings in the family: Woodrow Skaff, Marie Black, Don Skaff and John Skaff.

Pauline went to Zimmerman School and Central High School. She took art classes at the Flint Institute of Art. She also studied art in Detroit and Chicago. This education prepared her to become an award winning artist. She showed at the Flint Institute of Art, Mott Community College, Shiawasee Arts Council and Fandangles. She was a member of the Flint Artist's Market and Left Bank Gallery for over 60 years.

Pauline worked as a designer at Skaff's and Joseph's Interiors. She also operated her own design firm, Angle Interiors for about thirty years.

Pauline was a lifetime member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist. Her contributions to the church included teaching Sunday school and serving on numerous committees including the decorating committee and new church building committee. Pauline's faith informed her politics. She was passionate about protecting human rights for all people.

Pauline and her family summered at the family cottage at Point Lookout on Lake Huron for the last 84 years. Five generations of the family vacationed at the cottage. She and her sister Marie enjoyed swimming in Lake Huron every morning, regardless of the weather conditions or the water temperature. The family loved to play bridge in the summer house overlooking the lake. It was a retreat from the world and a haven for creating family memories.

A charitable fund was created in Pauline's name for the benefit of students at the Flint Institute of Arts. Donations can be made to the fund. Please make checks payable to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, with the Pauline Angle Endowment Fund noted in the memo line, 500 South Saginaw Street, Suite 200, Flint, Michigan 48502
