Pauline Bennett, 90, of East Prairie, died May 3, 2012 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. Born February 10, 1922, in Ripley, TN, to the late William and Clara Midget Kellick, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the East Prairie Retired Senior Volunteer Program for many years, and was of Baptist faith. She was married to Otis Bennett, who preceded her in death in July of 1996.
She was also preceded in death by one son, three brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sharon Aters of East Prairie; three grandchildren, Paula (Rick) Matheney, Floyd Aters, Jr. and Nathan Aters, all of East Prairie; three great grandchildren, Zach Matheney, Lilly Matheney and Alyvia Matheney, all of East Prairie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10:30am on Saturday, May 5, 2012, until time of the funeral service at 2:00pm at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Rev. Rick Breeden, pastor of the Essex Apostolic Church, and Rev. Erick McGruder, pastor of the Full Gospel Church of East Prairie, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Virgil Weaver, Floyd Aters, Nathan Aters, Zach Aters, Greg McLard and Jeff McLard.
