Peggy Sue Riggs Golightly 1950 - 2012

Peggy Sue Riggs Golightly, 61, passed away on April 24th 2012 after battling breast cancer for four and a half years.

Originally from Harriman TN, Peggy moved to Tallahassee with her husband over 30 years ago to become a teacher at North Florida Christian School. Peggy has touched the lives of many people by showing them God's love throughout her teaching career. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was the perfect example of what a Christian stands for.

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2nd Corinthians 12:9.

She was predeceased by her husband Clarence Adolphus "Butch" Golightly Jr.

She is survived by her children, Randy and Michelle Golightly, Phillip and Joanna Golightly, Carolyn and Michael Wilson and three grandchildren.

The visitation will be held today, Thursday, April 26th 2012, from 5pm to 7pm at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home 700 Timberlane Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32312. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 27th 2012, at 11am at North Florida Baptist Church 3000 N. Meridian Rd. with burial following at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that you send donations to Courage Through Cancer Ministries at P.O. Box 4067 Tallahassee, FL 32315.

Arrangements are under the direction of Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida.

Serenaded by angels, up to the throne
Serenaded by angels, finally at home
Surrounded by praises to the King
Welcome to paradise, the angels did sing!
No more suffering or pain for your mom.
Cherish the wonderful times with her and know you will see her again one day in heaven.
It has been years since I have seen her…but what I remember most is her love for her children.
May God give each of you peace and comfort for the days ahead.
With Sympathy,
Lila Dyer
