PEGGY SUE PARKER In a world that takes itself too seriously, Peggy Parker was a light whose quick-witted humor brought smiles and laughter to all of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. There was often a mischievous twinkle in her eye that caused you to wonder what she might say or do next. While outwardly quiet, Peggy was a strong and generous woman who found great joy in making the people around her happy. She gave freely of all she had to offer, without seeking reward or recognition in return. PEGGY SUE PARKER
In a world that takes itself too seriously, Peggy Parker was a light whose quick-witted humor brought smiles and laughter to all of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. There was often a mischievous twinkle in her eye that caused you to wonder what she might say or do next.
While outwardly quiet, Peggy was a strong and generous woman who found great joy in making the people around her happy. She gave freely of all she had to offer, without seeking reward or recognition in return.
Peggy was a woman with an indisputable work ethic, often going above and beyond whatever was necessary in order to get a job done. Her friends, family, and coworkers will remember her as bluntly honest and fiercely loyal. Those whom she loved, she did so with all her heart. In addition to being a mother to Heather Parker, she joyfully served as a mother figure to many of her daughter's friends, as well as to many of her nieces and nephews.
Peggy was the daughter of Mary and Floyd Parker and was born in Seminole, Texas on May 9, 1958. She was a member of Permian High School's class of 1976. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Heather Parker, on October 23, 1979. Peggy began working at the Odessa Texas Cancer Center in 1996.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Parker. Peggy is survived by her daughter, Heather Parker, mother, Mary Parker; two brothers, Fred Parker and Bruce Parker; and four sisters, Cathy Shook, Priscilla Williams, Betty Lange, and Gayla Neufeld.
On July 6, 2014, Peggy passed away following a hard fought battle with cancer.
The Parker family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the myriad of family and friends who have offered their love and support over the years. You will never truly know the impact your love has had.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with Fred Parker officiating.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
