Peggy Ann Parton was born on the 21st of December, 1937 in Longmont, Colorado. She was the daughter of two proud parents; Robert and Corine Parton. She was also the little sister to Marilyn and Barbara. Peggy grew up in Denver, Colorado and attended Parkhill Elementary School, Smiley Junior High School and graduated from East Denver High School in 1956. Peggy was a member of the Acappella club and 56' club in High School. Peggy liked to go horseback riding, going to the movies and hanging out with her family and friends. She was devoted and kind to her friends and family.
Peggy married the love of her life Carlton Stebbins on May 3rd, 1958 and they had three beautiful children; Donna in June of 1962, Linda in November of 1966 and Scott in June of 1968. Her children were the joy of her life. Peggy and Carl moved into their new house in Northglenn, Colorado in 1964. Peggy raised their three children and quickly made their house a home. She enjoyed decorating her home, cooking, baking, scrap booking, crafts and gardening. Her first job was working at a Dolly Madison Ice Cream Parlor. She also worked at the Mountain Bell Telephone Company, Adams County School District and Penny Saver Medical Supply. However, the job she enjoyed the most was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and seeing them grow and making memories with each and everyone of them.
Peggy Stebbins fought a brave battle against cancer, but died of Cancer on the 11th of January, 2014. She was 76 years old. She is survived by her Husband Carl, two children, Linda and Scott and seven grandchildren; Matt, Chad, Brittany, Andrew, Sophie, Sadie and Maggie.
Peggy leaves behind a legacy that will never be lost, for she touched so many. She played a different role in all of our lives; a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, an aunt and friend. No matter what, the love we have for her is one. Ask anyone and they'll tell you the same. She brought us joy when we had pain. The strength and love of one women held all of us together, even more now than ever. She isn't physically here, but we still feel her near in every step we take and every move we make. What she's given to us no one can ever replace. God bless her. Rest in peace, Peggy. We all love you and will miss you, but we will always remember you and keep you in our hearts. Reception to follow burial at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, Thornton, CO.
