Jean, my mother Margie and I are out of town but our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I am told that you and Percy were my very first baby sitters. Thank you for your friendship. We will miss him!

Percy was a very dear and special person - he reminded me of my Dad. I miss them both.

It was an honor for me to be a colleague of Percy's for 40 years. He was a legend at the practice of law when the law was such an honorable profession. He will be sorely missed. Cindy and I were thrilled to share two weeks with Percy and Jean out west. What a great couple. John and Cindy Lunsford

Joe and Georgia Williams

To the Wall Family, Percy was one of my mentors when I first come home to practice law. In my many cases against him, he taught me the art of losing with dignity and the virtue of winning with humility. Georgia and I offer our prayers for your family in this time of grief.

Dear Jean. Allen, Anne & family,
Dad, Jack and I send our love and heartfelt sympathy to each of you for your loss. Percy was a special fellow, a friend to each of us, and we each treasure all of the memories we have of times with him. It's a long history of a special friendships over 50+ years.
Dad isn't able to come (but he is doing well in Raleigh), and Jack and I regret that we will not be able to be there next Saturday either...we wish it could be otherwise, but prior commitments prevent it. We will miss the time to see each of you then, but hope to be in Greensboro soon and to see you then, Jean.
Please now that you are each in our prayers. We send our love,
Anne Tate
