Pete was a dynamic, outgoing, caring individual who was deeply motivated in working for the benefit of others, while accepting little or no notoriety himself. He was thoughtful and kind and never complained, although he had his fair share of life's disappointments and sorrows. Pete and I were pledge brothers in Beta Theta Pi at Westminster College in 1963. He will long be remembered and missed by me and all of our brothers.

Rest in peace my friend. I will miss our "over the fence" talk sessions, solving all the problems of work and life. You and Ben can walk together again and pick up the trash along the way with your ever present plastic sack in your pocket. Condolences to Donnie and Sylvie.

Rest In Peace my friend. I enjoyed our talks and the times you would lunch with me at Providence and share stories about your life and your love of those you held near and dear. Your heart was gold and you will be missed.

Peter has been a friend for 60 years. I can't believe he is gone. He was such a kind and gentle soul--always had a smile and a spirit of fun. There was so much to admire in him and his life. One of my fond memories was spending a day with Peter and Jo on the beach in Oregon--really dear people. The Volpe Family sends its deepest sympathy to Donny and to Peter's entire family. You are so lucky to have had Peter as a father, a grandfather and a brother. Godspeed Peter!!

I went to high school with Peter in Denver, Colorado and we graduated in 1963. He was a such a sweet man and was loved by his classmates. We all enjoyed seeing him at our last reunion, our 50th, in 2013. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, and although I didn't have the opportunity to know his family, I hope you will know how much we all cared about Pete and a lot of his old friends are sending love your way. Peter Stratton Fowler was a classmate and team mate of mine at George Washington High School in Denver, CO in the graduating class of 1963. Peter and I shared a unique bond in that we both shared the name Peter Fowler although he had a better claim on the name as his first name is Peter whereas my middle name is Peters (not a typo, Peters was a family name) but my parents always called me Pete. Peter S and I were both on the High school Football team together and the coaches referred to us as Big Pete and Little Pete to distinguish us from each other. Peter was also a member of the Sate Championship Swim Team and a runner in track. Coincidentally we both ended up in the Portland area and saw each other several times over the last few years. Rest in Peace Little Pete.
