Peter E. Johnson, 68, a life-long resident of Keene, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, following a short period of declining health. He was born April 22, 1946, in Keene, New Hampshire, the son of Fred H. Johnson, Sr and Pauline (Olivo) Goslant. He attended Keene High School and went on to proudly serve our Nation as a member of the United States Army where he honorably served as a member of the 101st Airborne. Peter E. Johnson, 68, a life-long resident of Keene, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, following a short period of declining health.

He was born April 22, 1946, in Keene, New Hampshire, the son of Fred H. Johnson, Sr and Pauline (Olivo) Goslant. He attended Keene High School and went on to proudly serve our Nation as a member of the United States Army where he honorably served as a member of the 101st Airborne. For many years Peter worked as a computer programmer for Kingsbury in Keene and went on to work for C&S Wholesale Grocers in IT in Brattleboro, VT and Keene.

Peter loved to be with his friends and family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was also very active in the Fraternal Order of the Moose, Knights of Columbus(Grand Knight), the American Legion (Senior Vice-Commander) and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He always enjoyed being in the outdoors whether he was flying model airplanes, bird-watching or simply going fishing.

He is survived by his wife: Deborah J. Johnson of Keene NH, his son: Ronald Johnson and his wife Lisa of Keene, NH, two daughters: Tammy Johnson- Dudek and her husband Jason of Keene, NH and Amanda Heger and her husband Todd of Concord, NH, seven grandchildren: Travis Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Ronni Johnson, Mikayla Dudek, Noah Dudek, and Ryleigh Heger, one great-grandchild Sophia Johnson, two sisters: Kathy Kaiser and her husband Paul of Denton, MD, Karen Johnson Brum and her husband Jeff of Keene, NH, two brothers: Fred Johnson, Jr. and his wife Allie of Troy, NH and David Johnson and his wife Marcy of Troy, NH and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents: Fred and Pauline, his first wife: Linda Johnson and his brother: James Johnson.

Peter's family would like to offer their sincere appreciation for all of the care he received from Hospice during his final journey of life.
