Sparta- Peter Roth passed into eternal life on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Wayne, NJ. He was 81. Peter was born in Jersey City to William and Minnie (Volkman) Roth, and resided for most of his life in Hudson County, moving to Sparta in 2012. He served his country proud during the Korean War with the US Army in Germany.
Mr. Roth worked for over 38 years as a journeyman printer for various companies in northern New Jersey. Predeceasing him is his beloved wife, Lillian (2000), a son, Martin Roth (2007) and a sister, Dorothy and brother, Walter. He is survived by two daughters, Karen Roth of Sparta, and Gail Russo and husband Peter of Sparta, three grandchildren, Christopher Pszonek, Jordan Pszonek, and Peter Roth. He is also survived by six brothers, Robert, Raymond, Ralph, Alan, Fred, and William, and three sisters, Ida Newrocki, Shirley and Arlene Roth, many nieces and nephews, and other loving family members. Family and friends are invited Thursday 2 ~ 4 & 7 ~ 9 pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871. An 8 pm service will be celebrated.
