Peter Saint John Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 12, 2013.

On December 11th, Peter Daniel Saint John (December 1969 - December 2013) was called home to be with his heavenly father after a valiant and tremendous fight against cancer. Peter was born to George and Joyce Saint John, in Worcester, Massachusetts. He was the youngest of six, part of a large and loving family of Saints.
He moved with his parents to West Palm Beach, FL, where he enjoyed a childhood of little league and the canal in the backyard of his parents' home until he left for college. While at college, Peter made life-long friends and gained new brothers in the Alpha Sigma Phi Delta Nu fraternity at Lock Haven in PA. Peter graduated from American University, in Washington, DC, where he majored in political science.
After college, Peter embarked on an adventure of a lifetime when he worked on a fishing vessel in Alaska. Always a leader, Peter commanded his boat as a skipper, keeping his crew safe in one of the most dangerous and challenging jobs, while rocking his trademark Mohawk.
Even while casting nets out in rugged Alaska, Peter's heart was always in Massachusetts, home of his beloved Patriots and Red Sox. He returned to Massachusetts, and began working in print production. This work led to nearly two decades of excellence, culminating in New York's mad world of advertising. Peter was well-respected for his intelligence, talent, and friendly nature. Strangers and friends alike were greeted by Peter's warm and welcoming smile.
It was this smile that captured the attention of Peter's soul mate, Bozoma, who agreed to be his bride exactly one year from the day he charmed her on their first date. Peter and Bozoma's love was one for the ages, and was tested by the birth and loss of their daughter Eve. God then blessed Peter and Bozoma with their daughter Lael, who was the light of his life. For Peter, being a father was his most cherished role.
Peter's faith was central in his life. He regularly attended Mass, and was a faithful servant throughout his life. Peter bore the symbols of the cross of Saint James - it is considered the cross of a warrior, symbolizing taking up the sword in the name of Christ. Without any doubt the cross of Saint James helped Peter face down cancer, with courage and faith that inspired all who knew and loved him.
Peter leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Lael and wife Bozoma, his parents George and Joyce, his siblings Debra, Michael, Stephen, David and Neil, their respective children, and a host of family and friends.
