Trimmer of Henderson, Nevada; grandchildren, Jesse Dawson, Steven Dawson, Julie Pesch, John Pesch, Ryan Smith, Stacy Mealin, and Jason Smith. Peter was born on May 24, 1922 in Western, Pennsylvania to Angelo and Josephine Savarino, and was raised in Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1944 with a degree in business and accounting. Peter and his wife Jewel were married on July 1, 1951. Following their marriage, Peter and Jewel settled in southern California where Peter's career included executive financial positions with Arthur Young; Financial Indemnity Corporation; American Savings and Loan; and Guarantee Savings and Loan. During the early 1950's, they welcomed their three children into their home, where they were raised in Alhambra, California, and Fresno, California. Peter's three children and seven grandchildren remember him as a very loving and caring father and grandfather, whose family was of utmost importance and priority in his life. Peter and Jewel subsequently moved to San Luis Obispo, California and then to Henderson, Nevada in 2005.

In addition to the love he had for his family, Peter was a devout man with strong ties to the St. Andrew's Greek Orthodox Church in San Luis Obispo, California and St. Francis Parish in Henderson, Nevada.
