Mrs. Allen worked with my dad, John Simpson, for many years at Farm Bureau Insurance. As a kid I spent a lot weekends in the 1970s at Racoon Lake with her and her family. I have a lot good memories of that time - watching the construction of the house, listening to the Indy 500 on the pontoon boat, etc. But what I remember the most is what a nice lady she was.

Phyllis was a great lady and I enjoyed working with her at Farm Bureau Insurance. As we were both from Beech Grove, we became friends and would share breaks together. She would make a face and tell me that she could not understand my break choice of unsweetened grapefruit juice and a caramel pecan roll, we would always get a laugh over it. Just wanted to share a good memory. With heartfelt sympathy
