ANDERSON, PHYLLIS "Penny" 65 of Lighthouse Point , loving wife of Dr. Ronald Anderson passed away at her home on April 13, 2010 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Long Island, New York in 1944, Penny moved to Florida at thirteen and attended Norland High School. Penny raised three children (Jim Grimm, Steve Grimm, and Jeanne Bochinfusso ) in Pembroke Pines. She then moved to Lighthouse Point and raised her second daughter (Christen Anderson). After a thirty year career with the Broward County School Board, Penny retired and spent her time traveling throughout the U.S., Caribbean, Hawaii and Europe. Penny leaves behind her husband, three children, six grandchildren, her sister and brother. Her son Jim will greet her at Heaven's door. Visitation will be Friday, April 16th from 2-4 pm with a service at 3:30 pm at Kraeer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vitas Hospice 5420 N.W. 33rd Ave. Suite 100, Ft. Mom, I love you and miss you terribly! I think about you everyday and go to call you all the time as we talked everyday 100 times a day. Penny was a great friend and excellent bookeeper at Sheridan Hills Elementary where we worked and shared many good memories.
