Plumadell "Dell" Thornton, 90, of Court Place in Pekin passed away at 10:02 am Friday, October 14, 2016 at OSF Richard L Owens Hospice Home.
She was born August 24, 1926 in Norris City, IL the daughter of Henderson and Elizabeth Ballard Bell. She married Clifford Kern Thornton on August 21, 1945. He preceded her in death in February of 2002.
Dell is survived by one son, Mike (Chris Ozuna-Thornton) Thornton of Chillicothe; one grandson, Douglas (Tera) Thornton of Speedway, IN; one granddaughter, Kristina (Doug) Sanderlin of Springfield; three step-grandchildren, Teresa, David, and Sarah Ozuna; seven great-grandchildren, Olivia and Clifford Thornton, and Steven, Stephanie, Nicholas, William, and Simon Sanderlin; one great-great-grandchild, and three step-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded by her parents, one sister, and four brothers.
Dell attended First Church of the Nazarene in Pekin.
She loved playing cards or dice. Dell was a permanent camper at Kentuckiana Campground.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 19, 2015 from 5-7 pm also at the chapel.
Burial will in Parkview Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to OSF Richard L Owens Hospice Home.
