ROYER, Robert David "Dave" Robert David "Dave" Royer born April 22, 1928 at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento and raised in Roseville, CA died August 12, 2014. He attended Roseville High School (Class of '46) where he made many life-long friends. Dave was drafted into the Army and served in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a civil engineer for Department of Transportation for 40+ years and surveyed many of the bridges and overpasses we drive on today. ROYER, Robert David "Dave" Robert David "Dave" Royer born April 22, 1928 at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento and raised in Roseville, CA died August 12, 2014. He attended Roseville High School (Class of '46) where he made many life-long friends. Dave was drafted into the Army and served in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a civil engineer for Department of Transportation for 40+ years and surveyed many of the bridges and overpasses we drive on today. He had many interests and was an accomplished woodworker, avid golfer and lover of music. Dave was proud of the work he did but was most proud of his family. He is survived by Twyla, his loving wife of 57 years, his four children, Michael (Patti), Elizabeth (Mitch Stoneman), Suzanne (Perry Myers), and Joseph (Debra). He was a wonderful nonno to 11 grandchildren, one great -grandchild and he leaves behind his brother Ken, nieces, nephews and many godchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence Royer and William F. Royer and his brother William (Bill). Friends and family are welcome for visitation on Mon. Aug. 18 from 5-8pm with a Vigil Service at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Tues. Aug. 19 at 10am, all at Holy Family Catholic Church 7817 Old Auburn Rd, Citrus Heights. Burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Sac. Ca. It is difficult to condense 86 well-lived years into a single column, so please join us to share your memories of Dave with us.
