Obituary

Venable, Roosevelt Joseph, 85, of Spring, Texas passed away on September 12, 2011. Following his service to our country during World War II, he became a police officer in Port Arthur where he served for 33 years. He is survived by his loving wife Lee; two daughters, Gale Doerfler and husband Mark and "Fay" Podsobinski and husband George; four grandchildren Stacy Fay Malagarie, Ryan Malagarie and wife Jill, Jeffrey Caleb Tharp and Heather D'Ann Cook; and 5 great grandchildren Dylan Hardin, Kodi Hardin, Garrett Hammond, Sadie Malagarie and Kayleigh Lute. A visitation will be held on Thursday September 15, 2011 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at...

Interment and military honors will be presented Friday September 16, 2011 at 9 am at Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, 77038.
