II (JoAnn), and dearest grandfather of Andrew, Will, Amelia, Danny, Riley, Karli, and Matthew. A 1951 graduate of the University of Michigan, where he was a drummer in the marching band. Life long Wolverine fan and former president of the Cleveland Chapter of the Alumni Association. Korean War Veteran U.S. Army 516 Signal Corps. He worked for General Motors Parade of Progress. Later he became involved with the restoration of Futurliner #10, which is on display at NATMUS in Auburn, IN....

He loved to drive and had been to all 50 states. He never passed up a roadside historical marker. He also traveled to all the Canadian provinces, the Panama Canal and many foreign countries. He spent his retirement summering at Morrison Lake.
