Mr. Ralph Denny "Doc" Danford Holliday, age 72, of Statham, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017.
A native of Barrow County, Mr. Holliday retired as a Supervisor with the Local 48 Asbestos Association.
Mr. Holliday is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Joyce Kinsey Holliday; son, Ralph "Dan" Danford Holliday, Jr; parents, Ralph B. and Ruby W. Holliday; brothers, George and Rudy Holliday; and sister, Patsy Holliday Gunter.
Mr. Holliday is survived by his daughter, Melissa Holliday; grandson, Tyler Thomas, and Dennis Holliday; great-granddaughter, Carman Grace Thomas; sister, Regina Holliday Brown and Reba Holliday Martin; brother, Roy G. Holliday; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The Funeral Service to honor the life of Mr. Holliday will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Doug Friesr officiating. Burial will follow the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday evening, October 3, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is entrusted with the arrangements.

We are so sorry to hear about Doc.Our family always have thought alot of him and Ms.Joyce and now they are together along with ol'Dano no longer suffering!! Your family was a big part of our lives for a long time and I know that it seems like that you cant go on but it will pass. When it seems the hardest just look up and smile and know that angels are among us!!!! Be strong Melissa!!! If there is anything we can do just let us know!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you!!!!
