Ralph Fine, 84 of Gardendale, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 after a brief illness. Mr. Fine was a member of Gardendale Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church for over 25 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, aboard the U.S.S. Kearsarge. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Della Fine, brothers Arnold, George, Pete and Abe Jr. Godfrey, sisters, Bernice Heatherly and Clytee "Boots" Harris. Mr. Fine is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen, and their 3 children, Ronald Fine (Cheri), Cindy Morris and Lisa Erwin (David). He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Nicholas Fine (Christi), Haley Morris, Jordan Morris, Parker Erwin, and Peyton Erwin and a brother, Buel Godfrey.
