Graveside sevices for Ralph Dunman, 84, of Georgetown (formerly of Lufkin), will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018 in the Hardin Chapel Cemetary in Hardin Texas, with Roy Hall officiating.
Mr. Dunman was born May 12, 1933 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the son of the late Vennie Vera (Stanford) and Clyde Roy Dunman. He passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in Georgetown.
Mr. Dunman was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Zavalla. He worked at the Paper Mill in Lufkin for 42 years. He served in the United States Army in the Korean war and was proud of his service. Ralph was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting and fishing. Some of his favorite activities were getting on his 4 wheeler and hitting the woods, and playing dominos anytime he got the chance. You can bet if he was at home he was watching the Western Channel! He was so proud of his family. He was married to the Love of his life for 58 years.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Younda Dunman of Georgetown; grandchildren, Kaleb Dunman of Georgetown, Ryan Dunman of Leander, Brady Dunman of Georgetown, Jason Ware of Omaha Nebraska, Joey and Jessica Ware of Omaha Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Jace Mathew and Jaylee Rebecca; sister, Bobbie Rives of Hardin; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to his parents Mr. Dunman was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Dunman on August 23, 2016; and his daughter, Rebecca Dunman Ware on November 29, 2008.
Pallbearers will be Kaleb Dunman, Ryan Dunman, Brady Dunman, Cooper Hoffman, Chase Wilson, and Matt Haak.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
