Funeral services for Ralph F. Hardy, age 82 of Ogdensburg will be held on Monday (February 19, 2013) at 4:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ogdensburgh Cemetery in the spring with full military honors. Calling hours will also be held on Monday from 2:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Ralph died Monday (Feb 11, 2013) at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility. Funeral services for Ralph F. Hardy, age 82 of Ogdensburg will be held on Monday (February 19, 2013) at 4:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ogdensburgh Cemetery in the spring with full military honors.

Calling hours will also be held on Monday from 2:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Ralph died Monday (Feb 11, 2013) at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility.

Surviving are his three children Daniel Hardy, Loretta McLear & Doris Brown all of Ogdensburg; grandchildren Melissa McLear, Meaghen McLear, Danyette Kimble, and Randi, Dillion & Marshall Brown; a brother James Smith of Russell; a sister Doris Ferris & her husband Jay of Heuvelton; a sister-in-law Betty Hardy of Canton and several nieces, nephews & cousins.

He was predeceased by three brothers Donald, Louis & Glen Hardy; six sisters Ora Garrison, Mae Harrington, Margaret Richardson, Eva Ellis, Evelyn Clark & Avis Todd.

Ralph was born on Feb 9, 1931 in Gouverneur, NY a son of the late Harry & Flora (Puffer) Hardy. He attended Ogdensburg Free Academy for his education, and was enlisted in the US Army from Sept 1948 – June 1952 and was stationed in Germany & Korea during his enlistment.

He worked as a farmer in Lisbon for many years until he began his employment at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center in the laundry department where he worked for many years. He was a life member of the Ogdensburg Am Vets, VFW, American Legion and the Canadian American Veterans Reunion Association. Ralph enjoyed socializing with friends, being active in the local veteran's organizations, listening to country music and telling jokes.
