He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marcia Pion Sette of Woodstock, MD; daughter Amy Sette Paulick and son-in-law Tom Paulick of Nottingham, MD; daughter Kristin Sette Agostoni and son-in-law Scott Agostoni of Marina del Rey, CA; son Brian Sette of Brooklyn, NY; three grandchildren, Sydney and Tommy Paulick and Ella Agostoni; his mother- and father-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Pion of Loretto, Pa., along with a large extended family. Ralph was a nearly 40-year employee with the Health Care Financing Administration and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, for which he served as a Medicare Budget Director. He was an avid Ravens fan, enjoyed eating out and exercising and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
A viewing is planned Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Witzke Funeral Homes, Inc., 5555 Twin Knolls Road, Columbia, Md. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at Church of the Resurrection, 3155 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the American Heart Association or Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.
