Ralph is survived by his mother, Tanya Stockton, his younger brother, Daniel Stockton of Raleigh, NC, and preceded in death by his father, Ralph Madison Stockton III (Matt). He is also survived by his maternal grandparents are Faye & Donald Pugh of Camden, NC and Hilary & Kathy Leary of Elizabeth City, NC, maternal aunt and uncle, Wanda Leary and Philip Lee of Beverly, West Virginia and cousins, Miriah, Japheth, Kaya and Aaron. Ralph is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph Jr. and Frances Stockton of Winston Salem, NC and maternal great-grandmother, Fannie Sanderlin of Shawboro, NC. Ralph is survived by his mother, Tanya Stockton, his younger brother, Daniel Stockton of Raleigh, NC, and preceded in death by his father, Ralph Madison Stockton III (Matt). He is also survived by his maternal grandparents are Faye & Donald Pugh of Camden, NC and Hilary & Kathy Leary of Elizabeth City, NC, maternal aunt and uncle, Wanda Leary and Philip Lee of Beverly, West Virginia and cousins, Miriah, Japheth, Kaya and Aaron.

Ralph is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ralph Jr. and Frances Stockton of Winston Salem, NC and maternal great-grandmother, Fannie Sanderlin of Shawboro, NC. He is also survived by many loving paternal aunts and uncles, Ellen and Larry Coble of Winston Salem, NC, David and Jayne Stockton of Atlanta, Georgia, Jim and Debbie Stockton of Winter Park, Florida and cousins, Maggie and Molly Sartin and Brian and Drew Stockton, Madison and James Stockton.

Ralph had an engaging personality and a true zest for life. He had many friends and he never met a stranger. He was always available for friends or family in need and always wanted to protect his family. His kindness and warm spirit will always be remembered and cherished. He had a natural athletic gift and enjoyed playing many sports all his life. Most recently he and his brother, Daniel, spent many special hours skateboarding and bonding.

A candlelight vigil will be held at 6pm on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Baileywick Road Park. The memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC 27609. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a foundation that is being established to memorialize Ralph's life. The Foundation will support teens transitioning into adulthood. Contributions may be made at www.inRalphsmemory.org.

The family is humbled by the outpouring of love and support that has been shown during this very difficult time.
