Ramiro (Ray) Aguero, 67, of Brodheadsville, passed away Sunday morning March 4, 2012 at the Easton Hospital, Easton.
Born in Santiago de Cuba he was a son of the late Filiberto and Digna (Eheverria) Aguero and resided in Monroe County for the past 25 years.
Ray retired from Sanofi Pasteur in Swiftwater, where he was an Aseptic Operator.
He was a member of St. Matthews Roman Catholic Church, East Stroudsburg. Ray was adored by all who knew him. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed his 6 grandchildren.
Surviving is his loving wife of 44 years the former Emma Barreto of Brodheadsville; son, Ramiro (Ray) Aguero and his wife Kristi, of Chambersburg, PA; daughter, Nuria (Pepsi) Gayer and her husband Steven of East Stroudsburg; 6 grandchildren Shawn and Joshua Augero, and Devin, Addison, Cailyn, and Julia Gayer, brothers, Filiberto Aguero of FL; Pedro Aguero of CA; Leoner Aguero and Roynaldo Aguero, both of Cuba; and Gonzalo Aguero and his wife Regla of West New York, N.J., sister, Arabella Alrarez of T.X.;. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Matthews Roman Catholic Church, 200 Brodhead Ave., East Stroudsburg with Rev. Fr. Augustine Celebrant. Interment will follow in Stroudsburg Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M.
