Biography

Ramon R. Garcia, 60, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at his residence in Falfurrias, Texas. He was born on January 7, 1953 to Ramon Rios and Leonor Garcia Rios in Kingsville, Texas. Ramon proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal in the 1970’s and later became a Teacher and Coach for many school districts in south Texas until his retirement after 21 years of dedication. He enjoyed teaching and coaching children, roping, golfing and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; adoptive parents, Ramon T. Garcia and Beatrice P. Garcia and his brother, Enrique Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Estela V. Garcia of Falfurrias; three sons, Enrique D. (Anna Garza) Garcia of Falfurrias, Rene Colon and Jaime E. (April) Garcia of the Corpus Christi, Texas area; one daughter, Yvonne M. (Jose) Varela of Houston, Texas; brother, Raul Garcia of Goliad, Texas; seven sisters, Rosa (Miguel) Chavera of Corpus Christi, Linda (Gabino) Andrade of Houston, Lucucia Bermudez of Arizona, Dora (Guadalupe) Alvarado, Beatrice Garcia, Blasa (Johnny) Cruz and Jesusa (Juan) all of Gregory, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Darla N. Garcia, Enrique D. Garcia, Jr., Lilliana Garcia, Hannah G. Garcia, Kaymen Colon, Matthew Garcia, Joey R. Varela, Caleb Colon, Meredith G. Garcia, Lalla Colon and Danny E. Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013...

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias with Military Honors to follow.
