Miss Me But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room; Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long, and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared. Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take and each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart go to the friends we know and bury your
sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me, but let me go.

I had the privelage of working with Randy at CalProtection and have known him professionally for 25 years. I will never forget the work ethics that he had and how truly inspirational he was to me!
It was enjoyable to continue to do business with him at Orr and he was always there for our customers rain or shine. I will never forget the lunch we had where Randy mentioned he wanted to get everyone back together again for a reunion as far back as the “California Suppression Days" as we all put it. He said “We've got to do this!” During that conversation there was nothing but reminiscing good times and laughter and how he cared about ones he worked with in the past.
It was great to reunite with friends at the Islands Hotel to commemorate Randy and that I noticed he didn't just inspired me but many! My thoughts and prayers to the Hardman Family.. Randy will be truly missed!

Randy touched the lives and hearts of so many people. In his work his professionalism inspired all of us to try to do a better job while maintaining a high ethical standard. He was a perfectionist and yet could still enjoy the imperfections that were a natural part of life. He had a good sense of humor. He set the bar very high. He will be very missed but I know that his spirit will live on through all of us. Peace be with you.

We only knew Randy briefly as a friendly, quiet, respectful neighbor. But, we are sure his life's good deeds and fire protection background will hold him in good stead in his heavenly, not the other, afterlife.

Randy has been a part of my life for over 35 years. He and the rest of the Hardmans have always been like family to all of us. I didn't get to see him much the past couple of years, but when I did he always had a smile. I will miss him and will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers these next couple of weeks.

He was such a great guy and gentlemen and I always felt privileged just to spend time talkng to him, whether work related or having fun on the golf course. My older sister asked me to ride with her to "drive by" the boy she had a crush on. She introduced me to him while we were in school. They took classes together and BOY did she have a crush. The following year I met Randy's brother Rob and Randy went from my sister's crush to being my brother-in-law. We have laughed, cried, joked, teased and acted more like brothers and sisters than "in-laws". Rob and Randy were best friends and shared time as they could with the busy lives they have. Our love for him is everlasting and will continue to grow as we spend time with our family this week and continue to watch the sunshine Randy left behind in his kids and grandson. We love them all.

Its not often in life that you can remember meeting someone for the first time. But for Randy Hardman I can. It was 1983 on the 17th floor of 100 Wilshire in Santa Monica I first met Randy. He and I worked on projects together until I retired from GTE/Verizon in 2003. Randy was a person I enjoyed working with and who I greatly respected.
Randy will be missed by all who knew him. He was a Man Of Character.

Randy was the Cal Protection representitve to Verizon/GTE for 25 years. I remember him as intelligent, hard working and always looked "sharp". He was a true professional but always spoke of his family with pride.
Randy and his expertise will be missed by all of us.

Randy has been a friend of mine for over 30 years. We started at California Suppression at almost the same time and then I was lucky enough to do work for him at Orr. He was always there when I had any questions or needed help with anything. Randy will truly be missed by me and many others. I am proud to have known him. Scott Haas
