Obituary

Ray Evelyn Barnes, 78, died Saturday, February 19,2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born September 4, 1932 in Prentiss County to the late James Arthur and Pearl Fortner Barnes. She was a retired factory worker and a member of Oak Ridge Church of Christ. She enjoyed fishing and working in her yard. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Allen Jones officiating. Burial will be in Sumners Chapel Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Cook Hopkins of Booneville; her sister, Arletta Owens of Booneville; her brother, Jerry Barnes of Iuka;...
Ray Evelyn Barnes, 78, died Saturday, February 19,2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born September 4, 1932 in Prentiss County to the late James Arthur and Pearl Fortner Barnes. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Allen Jones officiating. Burial will be in Sumners Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Cook Hopkins of Booneville; her sister, Arletta Owens of Booneville; her brother, Jerry Barnes of Iuka; her grandson, Coley Hopkins (Friend, Tiffany Barron); several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Bobby D. Hodges; one sister, Inetta Blake; one brother, Jack Barnes.

Pallbearers will be Rick Bullard, Russ Bullard, Marty Grisham, Gerald Williams, Steven Donaldson and Trey Carpenter.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
