Ray Edmonds Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 30, 2015.

Ray H. Edmonds,72, of Greenville, beloved husband of Rose Ann Edmonds and cherished father and grandfather, died on Sunday, March 29th. He was the son of the late William Clinton and Beulah Edmonds. He is survived by his wife: Rose Ann Edmonds; son: Rusty Edmonds and wife Melanie Edmonds; daughter: Amanda Edmonds and husband Mark Ankenman; sister: Emily Baker; sister-in-law: Wilma Edmonds; brother-in-law: Jack Morris and six grandchildren.Ray worked in the electronics distribution industry throughout his career and was a Manager at Emsco, a division of Hammond Electronics before quitting to spend more time with his family.Throughout his life Ray tackled large and small projects with determination and tenacity. Whether it was building his dream home from the ground up or working to support his children and grandchildren to achieve their goals. He could often be heard to say "can't never could" and challenged all those around him to never give up. His incredible spirit will live on in the family and friends who knew and loved him.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Remembrance Mausoleum Chapel of Woodlawn Memorial Park. Aunt Rose Ann,
Johnny and I are praying for you as we know this is a time of great heartache. Even when we know we are going to lose a loved one it is never easy no matter how sick they were or how old one is. Please know that we are here for you if there is anything we can do we will. Uncle Ray was a wonderful man and will never be forgotten and I know we will soon see him again because I believe he is at home with the Lord. Although we didn't get to see the two of you often we still loved you both so very much and always will. Sending up prayers for you, Rusty & Mandy and all the grandchildren as I know they will all miss him. Thank God for the hope we have in Him. Much Love, Johnny & Rhonda
