Dear Abernathy Family,
I have fond memories of hearing my Dad talk about Ray and their many experiences while Dad was building and Mr. Abernathy was with FHA. The discussions about the building of "pig parlors" tops my list! I was very young, but knew there was a special bond between the two. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.
Sincerely,
The Reece Evans Family

Sorry to learn of Ray's death. I worked at the Covington office of Farmers Home Administration, and knew Ray for many years. He was truly a Southern gentleman and will be missed.
