Funeral services for Ret MAJ Ray Dean Adlesperger will be held Thursday May 9, 203 at 9:30 a.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen with full military honors to follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Ray was born on August 17, 1936 to Otis and Charlotte Adlesperger in Yuma, CO. He served 23 years in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Ray was a family man and always put his kids first. He enjoyed many hobbies, one of them was his love of knowledge whether it was from watching the news or reading. Ray loved to collect coins and stamps and working in the yard. Funeral services for Ret MAJ Ray Dean Adlesperger will be held Thursday May 9, 203 at 9:30 a.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen with full military honors to follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Ray was born on August 17, 1936 to Otis and Charlotte Adlesperger in Yuma, CO.

He served 23 years in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.

Ray was a family man and always put his kids first. He enjoyed many hobbies, one of them was his love of knowledge whether it was from watching the news or reading. Ray loved to collect coins and stamps and working in the yard. He even was a Postal Carrier.

Ray was also a member of the United Methodist Church of Yuma, CO.

Ray is survived by his six children; Patricia Snare and husband Gene of O'Fallan, IL, Kirk Adlesperger of Killeen, Kent Adlesperger of Prescott Valley, AZ, Tarril Adlesperger and wife Tammy of Sterling, CO, Loren Adlesperger of Abilene and Laura Duskie and husband Steve of Killeen. He will also be missed by 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edwin Adlesperger.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
