I worked with Ray at the Gadsden Times 1993-1995. I always admired his work ethic and his ability to remain calm even when others weren't. One of my favorite memories of Ray was us getting out and selling single copies of the Gadsden Times during the snowstorm of 1993. He was always willing to lend a hand and did so with a smile. What a nice person. I'm glad I got to work with him. Condolences to the family and his many friends

I worked with Elizabeth at Compass, and she always has positive things to say about her daddy. I'm sorry for your loss, and I will be praying for you and your family during this hard time. To Mackenzie and Savannah, I know it isn't easy saying goodbye to your grandfather, but just remember the good times and hold on to those memories and cherish them. Prayers going up for you girls.
