We were Friends at TCU and in AFROTC together. We flew together our Senior TCU year. It'll be good to fly with him once again, one day.

It is so hard to believe Uncle Gene is gone. He was so much fun to joke with. I am really going to miss him. He was so good to my aunt and we will always be so thankful for him.

I was a co-pilot for Gene on the 737. I remember this marriage advice he gave me, "Mike...marriage is about compromise. For instance because of our job I eat out all the time and really like a home cooked meal when I get home. My wife eats at home all the time when I am flying so when I get home she wants to go out to dinner. So what do we do? We compromise. We go out to dinner." No wonder he stayed married for 52 years. He said a lot of other stuff that made me laugh. Great guy.

Jackie: So sorry to learn of Gene's passing. I have many fond memories of you and Gene and Sherrill and me and the Park City Western folks. Only God and time will ease the pain of your loss. My Sherrill will have been gone 12 years on May 8th and there is still a void in my heart and in my life. May God bless you with His peace. Captain Bob Scheinblum,
