He is preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Bea Sheeler (Kraemer), brother Dr. Gary L. Sheeler, and son, Travis Ryan Sheeler.

He is survived by his daughter, Kylie Rae Sheeler, and sisters Susan K. Smith (Ted) of Bluffton, IN, and Carla G. Mitchell (Mitch) of Louisville, KY, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and two great-nieces.

After a very successful career in business, sales, and finance, Ray devoted his retirement years to helping to distribute food, to providing financial education, to helping underprivileged girls develop the skills for a successful life, and to registering voters, among other things. His intelligence, generosity and spirit were monumental.

A memorial service is scheduled for this Saturday, July 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
