Jack and I really enjoyed Mr. Ray, He loved coming to the house especially when we had the wood heater going. He was like a father to Jack. We had a blast taking him to BINGO. He was such a kind loving man. The only man we have ever know who said he wished he had more children. He enjoyed watching our grandsons play when he would visit. We will miss him! We have your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr.Ray moved next door to us when he moved to Ga. and we could not have asked for a better neighbor. We both had gardens and loved sharing with each other something the other had not grown, as well as asking each other many questions on gardening and plants. We loved to share blueberries and figs, and then he would always share his fruit wine with us. He was an amazing person to talk to and my husband and I always liked spending time with him. He was always talking of his wife and of all of you children and there was no doubt how much he loved all of you. We know you will miss him, as we will too.

What a dear cousin, sweet and devoted family man. I was sorry to learn of Ray's passing. I remember well his kind attentions to his parents and dear Mary Jean, and to myself our rare times together. His memory will always be precious. My prayers now to his family, God be near.
