Ray was a Brother Veteran, Brother Pipeliner, Brother Teamster and a Brother Christian...... Ray was a Great Man.... His Attitude & Powerful Smile helped many see Life in a different light and become better people!
Ray was the 1st Vietnam Veteran ~ Teamster to use the Helmets to Hardhats program to enter the Pipeline Industry. Ray parked his Teamster's Freight pension and with the help of Richard Stern, Lewis Smith, John Hudson, Roger Kennedy, Danny Vincent and Henkles & McCoy, Ray started his new career and excelled to become a Company LowBoy driver in record time!
I knew Ray personally, he was my step daughter's Melissa Wood Miller 's Father In Law.
Ray Loved his Job and was a Top Hand!

Just too, too young to leave this world. I went to high school with Ray and his sisters, Judy and Diane. Judy was my "big sister", and I loved her dearly. While many years have passed, and we've not been in touch... I can close my eyes and see us all walking the halls of Oakhaven. I am asking God to send His Holy Angels to minister to you all at this time. Sent with much love and affection - Rhonda Brewer Ciaramitaro

R.I.P. Ray. We lost a very good friend and you will be missed immensely! I worked with you on several jobs and I never saw you without a grin on your face. People loved being around you. I sent you some money when you first got sick, to help with whatever you would need. A few years later, when my mom passed away, you sent it back to me. That's the kind of man you were. I will miss you Ray. God has definitely received an angel...

With loving memories of Ray.
I met Ray on a job in North Dakota in 2008. I will never forget the Southern gentleman with the million dollar smile and the sweet chuckle. He was a pleasant and kind man. Ray had a heart of gold. Would help anyone and would give his last dollar to who ever needed it putting his self last.
He was a truck driver and a darn good one. His job was to haul pipe and heavy equipment on and to and from job site. He put in long hour days made it a long week, he was tired but he kept on going. We say, He was living the life. He loved his job.
I have so many good memories; one was in the mornings He would come into the office for a coffee and take me out to see the sunrise. It was Gods picture; no one on earth could ever paint a picture as pretty as this he'd tell me. It was beautiful. And the big long fields of sunflowers so pretty. He enjoyed the beauty of North Dakota.
He talked about things and places that he'd seen. Some not so nice and most part was very nice. Montana was one of his favorites, He talked about going back to Montana one day. He told me word could not describe how nice it was it had to be seen.
He always looked forward to, hearing from his family. Oh and the movies and pictures he would sit and watch them with the biggest smile and chuckle.
It saddens me that the past few years were not good ones. I'm one to believe that everything happens for a reason for what reason I'll never understand why a sweet gentle kind hearted man had to go thru what he did in his Past few years. Rest in peace my Dear sweet friend. No more pain. I will never forget you. You were one of a kind.
When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.
