Mrs. Rebecca Joan Fraiser Brown, 76, of Temple, TX, died December 27, 2009 at her home.
Burial will be Saturday, January 2, 2010, at Woodlawn Cemetery of Nashville, Tenn.
Mrs. Brown was born on October 6, 1933 to Rebecca and Dixon Fraiser in Sunflower, Mississippi. She was raised by her grandmother, Estelle Dew in Indianola, Mississippi. She married Vernon R. Brown on August 2, 1952 and was married 56 years.
She was a member of Northside Church of Christ and had lived in Temple for the past 20 years. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Brown, and husband, Vernon Brown.
Survivors include a son, Charles M. (Jana) Brown of Dallas, two daughters, Joni L. (Terry) Haas of Coppell and Amy Carol Fish of McKinney, and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cherokee Home for Children, P.O. Box 295, Cherokee, TX 76832 or Scott and White Hospice, 2401 S. 31st Street, Temple, Texas 76508.
Visitation is planned from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 30 at Crawford-Bower Funeral Home in Temple. Memorial services are planned for 9:30 am, Thursday, December 31, at Crawford-Bower Funeral Home
