BROWN, Regina (Jeanne) Dolores, 85, died peacefully Friday, July 26, 2013 in Nashville. Regina was born on February 8, 1928 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Her parents were the late Mary Hellhauer Boyle and Neil Matthew Boyle. Her sisters were the late Ann Marie DeSantis and the late Lorraine Duffy and brother, the late Neil P. Boyle. In 1949 Regina married her beloved husband of 64 years, surviving spouse, Richard H. Brown, originally of Scranton, Pennsylvania. She had recently relocated to Nashville from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, after living in Huntsville, Alabama, Sterling, Virginia, and Austin Texas. She is survived by her five children, Kathleen Brown Johnston (Paul J. Johnston) Barbara Brown Johnston (James P. Johnston) Richard C. Brown, David N. Brown and Timothy W. Brown and her six grandchildren, Cara Haley (Martin), Kyle Johnston (Amanda), Jeremy Johnston, Jenna Brown, Michael Brown, and Nathan Johnston and her sweet great-grandson, Caleb M. Johnston, all of whom she adored. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and good friends, including her best friends, Lois Behlke of Scranton, Pennsylvania and Rosemary Harper of Surfside, South Carolina. Regina devoted her life to her husband and family and was most happy at family gatherings and celebrations. She was a cancer survivor and faced her days as a dialysis patient for seven years with courage and dignity. Regina will be missed by every person who was blessed to know her. A funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. John Henrick at St. Ignatius Catholic Community Church, 601 Bell Road, Antioch, Tennessee at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Rick Brown, David Brown,Tim Brown, Kyle Johnston, Jeremy Johnston, Michael Brown and Nathan Johnston. The family expresses their sincere appreciation to the Bethany Rehabilitation Center and the Vanderbilt East Dialysis Center for their kind and loving care.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. We have such sweet memories of the Huntsville years and our times spent with the Browns.

Barbie and your entire family we are so saddened to hear of the passing of your lovely mother Jeanne. I have many pleasant memories of her and your dad at various family events at your house in which you always included the Meek family as part of your family. Jean was missed by all of us here on Oakmont Ct. in Murrells Inlet, SC when she moved to Nashville. She was a joy to be around, funny and devoted to God, family and friends. Her courage and faith were a lesson to us all.A life well lived!!
