Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 13, 2017.

Reynold "Rey" F. Whiddon went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 13, 2017, after a long battle with COPD. He was born in Conroe, TX. on December 14, 1938, to Minnie B. Whiddon and Otis E. Whiddon. Reynold is proceeded in death by his parents Otis and Minnie Whiddon, sisters, Caroline Armstrong and Rosemary Draehn, brother, Everitt Whiddon and son, Milon Whiddon. Reynold is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte S. Whiddon, daughters and sons-in-law Cherish and David Adams, Holly and Wesley Rodriguez, Missie and Joe Martinez; grandchildren, Olivia Adams, Madie Adams, Kole Waldrop, Andrew Rodriquez, Amber Peterson and husband Larry; great-grandchildren, Case Adams-Martinez, Drake Peterson, and Ariel Peterson; and many beloved family and close friends. Reynold was a master at cabinetry and enjoyed barbecuing, gardening and hunting, in his spare time. He proudly served our country, enlisting, at a young age, in the U.S. Navy. He attended West Conroe Baptist Church when health permitted. Visitation will be from 11:30 – 12:30 at Cashner Funeral Home on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Service will follow immediately after at Cashner Funeral Home, and his final resting place will take place at Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers: David Adams, Wesley Rodriguez, Joe Martinez, Kole Waldrop, Andrew Rodriguez and Joe Chisolm. Honorary Pallbearer, Case Adams-Martinez. We would like to thank Dr. Ashesh Desai and his staff for their excellent care of Reynold, as well as, Cornerstone Hospital for their amazing care during the last 3 weeks of his life. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the West Conroe Baptist Church Building Fund. Reynold was of one of a kind, and loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed.
