Rhonda, you were truly like a sister to me. We've done so much together, and I'm thankful that the last memory I have of you is at your beautiful wedding. The outpouring of love for you is a testament to the amazing person you were. You've had a lasting impact on so many lives. I know you wouldn't want us to fuss over you, but know that all this fuss is out of love. Love for the loyal friend you were, for your zest for life, for your appreciation of the things that are truly important. I know you are in heaven and no longer suffering. My prayer is for comfort for your husband, your parents, and all who loved you. You did what you could to ease their burden, and that makes me love you all the more. You will be missed, my sister of choice. I love you. (Friend from ECU)

John and I loved Rhonda like she was our daughter. She and Carson loved each other and were joined at the hip for many years. The world is now a sadder place since she is no longer here spreading her wonderful smile, genuine kindness and crazy sense of humor. My heart breaks for her parents and husband. We are so sorry for your loss and pray for the peace which exceeds all understanding to touch your tender and aching hearts.

One of the things I remember about Rhonda from college is that she was always choosing life. I was amazed watching her leave school and return continually full of life even while undergoing treatments.
