Ricardo "Ricky" Gutierrez Resurreccion

Ricardo, surrounded by his loved ones, passed away quietly at his home Friday, September 1st, 2017 after his courageous battle with cancer. Ricardo was a loving husband to Erlinda, a devoted father for Sherry and Khristine, and grandfather to Kyla and Kali. He was a loving son to Luz Curran and a dear brother to Edgar and Annjanette. In addition, he is survived by his in-laws, nieces', nephews, and cousins. In 1954, Ricardo was born in Manila, Philippines. When he was 15, he moved to the United States and lived in Hawaii with his family where he graduated from Waipahu High School. In 1989, he moved with his family to San Jose, CA. A few years later, he graduated from Mission College and earned a Psychiatric Technician certification. He worked for Agnews Development Center for 20 years and then continued working for the state at Coalinga State Hospital until 2009 when he retired. Ricardo loved watching football, basketball, and horse racing. He will always be loved and greatly missed by his family and friends. Ricardo will be forever in our hearts and memories. Visitation & Rosary Sunday, September 10th at 6PM at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, followed by church service on Monday, September 11th at 11AM at St. Francis of Assisi.
