My condolences to the whole family. I knew Rich mostly from my teenage years and hanging out with his brother-in-law Jerry in the Back-of-the-Yards where we both grew up. Rich was assigned to the area and he would stop by and talk to us. He always preached about staying away from gangs and always poked
light-hearted fun at Jerry and I's expense. R.I.P. Rich.

Sorry to hear of your loss. We are friends of Jerry and Carol and I believe Jerry cared very much for his brother-in-law. I thank Richard F. Mitchell for his service on the Chicago Police Department.
