Dr. Richard Carman, 62 of Chelsea (and formerly of Toledo, Ohio), passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Dr. Carman was a dedicated husband, father, and chiropractor. He cared deeply about his family and patients. He served the people of Talladega and the surrounding areas for over 20 years. Rich enjoyed going on scooter rides with his wife, working with and on computers, and managing his scooter forum online. Rich had an affinity with birds, both wild and his feathered family members. Richard Carman will be greatly missed by his family, friends and patients.
Dr. Carman is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Joan Carman. He is survived by his wife, Sue Carman; son, Pete Chivington; daughter, Mandi Chivington; brother, Ben Carman; and granddaughter, Amber Chivington.
The celebration of Dr. Carman's life will be at 1pm on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Morningstar United Methodist Church in Chelsea. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the memorial service.

Sue, we just found out yesterday, Rich has saved both mine and Jerry's lives. I have never known a doctor more down to earth. He truly cared for his patients. He never put monetary concerns before his patients We will miss him as a friend and doctor. We are so sorry for your loss, you have our love and prayers. Jerry & Yvonne
