Richard Patiño Sr., 60, of Merced, California, passed away on May 5, 2017. Richard was born to Mary and Juan Patiño on November 2, 1956 in San Jose, California where he lived for 46 years. He was the oldest of six children. He was a great man and loving father. He will forever be missed for his personality and heart. Richard was a dialysis patient for 12 years.
Richard was married to Esmeralda Patiño (Rodriguez) on September 23, 1978 and has been happily married for 39 years.
Richard is preceded in death by his father Juan "Happy" Patiño.
He is survived by his three children, Maggie Patiño, Richard Patiño Jr. and Andrea Patiño; as well as his 2 grandchildren Josiah Olson- Patiño and Jazmine Patiño. He also left behind his three brothers, Edward, Max, and Raymond Patiño, and two sisters, Barbara Patiño and Virginia Henderson.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. with funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B street Merced, California 95341 with Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery located at 260 W Childs Ave. Merced, California 95341. A reception will follow services at Stratford Evans Reception Hall.
