Teegarden, Richard W.
Richard took his first breath in heaven August 8, 2017 surrounded by his family at home. He was born February 20, 1951 at Ernest Harmon AFB, Stephenville, Newfoundland, Canada. He grew up in Savannah, GA, Glasgow, MT, and Puerto Rico. He attended college in Pensacola, FL. He was a devoted employee of Siemens Industry for 25 years.
He is survived by the love of his life, best friend, soulmate, wife of 33 ½ years Debbie Teegarden; loving children he considered his own, Stacy Thompson Corder and husband Cliff of Baton Rouge, Justin Thompson and wife LeeAnne of Flower Mound, TX; beloved granddaughters, Emerson Corder of Baton Rouge, Marissa and Rebecca Thompson of Flower Mound, TX; brother-in-law, Calvin Nevels and sisters-in-law Renee Hood (Eddie) and Lisa Michaelson (Dale); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Dr. Jay Brooks and nurse Theresa Van Dyke, Ochsner; Dr. Charles Wood, Mary Bird Perkins; Dr. Altan Mehmet, MD Anderson; and Amedisys Hospice. Also, thanks to Bill LeBlanc and Judi Alonso, Reiki Masters, and Cancer Services. To the many people who prayed for him all over the world, your prayers gave him great comfort. To his colleagues at Siemens, New Orleans, much gratitude for your visits, prayers, and encouragement.
Pallbearers will be Wallace Blanks, David Eck, Wayne Ard, Calvin Nevels, Eddie Hood, Dale Michaelson, Nick Bihm, and Lance Nevels. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks on Friday, August 11 from 5:00 to 8:00pm and Saturday, August 12 from 10:30am to 12:30pm in the Chapel followed by religious services conducted by Rev. Tommy Bergeron of Live Oak United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Resthaven Garden of Memories.
Richard was a great man who touched a multitude of lives in his strong, yet kind way. Thank you for making our lives better!
