Richard Glenn Allen, 79 years of age died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was born January 13, 1934 in Bellflower, Illinois to the late Homer and Alice Allen. Richard was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War, retired from CSX Railroad after 40 years of service, and was a member of Colgate Baptist Church in Clarksville, Indiana. He loved playing guitar, singing country western songs, and playing golf with his grandsons. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Euvonna Allen; son, Michael Allen (Janie); grandchildren, Kevin Allen (Tasha), Amanada Elmore (Aaron), Nathan Allen (Ana-Licia); brother, Donald Allen (Jan); sister, Carole Grubbs (Bill); 8 great grandchildren

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Friday and 12:00 pm ~ 1:00 pm Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home chapel with private entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
