Richard Ira Blatt passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2913 at the Eaton County Palliative Care facility in Charlotte. Richard was born, April 24, 1935 in Lansing, MI to Vern and Lefa (Lola) Blatt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Robert Blatt and sister Gloria Winters.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his son, David (Brandi) Blatt, grandsons, Austin and Joshua Blatt, and nephew Larry Winters.
Richard was retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. He was a woodworker and ceramics maker, often selling his works at craft shows. He also worked in home remodeling and building additions.
He will be greatly missed by his family.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, October 18, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing, MI
