Richard D. Collins, 75, of Maysville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Collins was a veteran of the US Army serving in the USA and Germany, a Kentucky Colonel and a past member of the Washington Lion's Club. He retired from Emerson Power Transmission Company and was the owner and operator of Collins Heating and Air Conditioning Company. Richard was born in Robertson County, Kentucky on November 30, 1940 the son of the late Lee Otis and Bessie Sloan Collins. Survivors include his fiancée, Bonnie Hord; three sisters, Delores Henson of Brooksville, KY, Linda Hord of Maysville, KY and Sue (Judy Gordon) Cooper of Dover, KY; one brother, David (Carolyn) Collins of Maysville, KY and a close friend and business acquaintance, Robert Forman of Maysville, KY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert "Bob" Collins. Services will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. The arrangements are entrusted to the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
