Richard T. Eckle, age 80 of Xenia, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence E. and F. Louise (Cook) Eckle, as well as two children: Nancy Jean Eckle and James Whitman Eckle, and a sister, Patricia Dumford. He is survived by his wife, Nancy J. (Lessard) Eckle, as well as three children: Margery J. Murphy of Xenia, Daniel R. and Lora Eckle of Centerville and Catherine E. and husband Fred Hull of TX. A sister, Rosemary Armbrust of IN, also survives him, as do six grandchildren: Elizabeth M. Comer (Tom), Stephanie E. Eldridge (Andrew), Mackenzie C. Eckle, Meredith C. Eckle, Ethan J. Hull and Aidan N. Hull, three-and-a-half great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Following his service in the US Navy, Richard was employed by SBC/Ameritech/Ohio Bell for 38 years as a foreman prior to his retirement. Following his retirement he delivered flowers for Wickline's Florist for ten years. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Friday, November 29, 2013 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME BEAVERCREEK Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley in Richard's memory.
